In late 2025, several teams of Fincons professionals took part in the challenge of designing Agentic AI solutions in the Fincons Agentic AI Hackathon, managed by the Fincons Technology Innovation Hub. Each team, composed by colleagues from our US and India offices, demonstrated exceptional teamwork, skills and creativity in developing advanced Artificial Intelligence solutions. We interviewed the three teams that chose to focus on the Green Coding track as this practice is becoming increasingly critical to development as more businesses demand sustainable solutions of their technology partners.
The EcoGenX team is composed by Nishtha Bansal, Pratyush Mahajan and Yash Ramani. Pratyush and Yash told us about what they developed and their thoughts on Green Coding.
“We did some research, we found that data centers which are running the codes almost emit 2% of the global CO2 emissions,” explains Yash as he describes why the team selected the green coding track.
Their “EcoGenX” solution presents four AI agents that each measure a specific KPI. Pratyush explains the process: “The CPU agent detects the inefficient loops, redundant computations and algorithm efficiencies; the I/O efficiency agent analyses files, operation and buffering; the memory efficient agent detects memory leaks, object allocation issues and if there's some inefficient memory usage. Finally the database efficiency agent evaluates query performance and database interaction patterns. So each agent gives us suggestions on how to improve, and after that we have used the final orchestrator to combine all these results and generates optimized code and creates a report.”.
The final report is a critical asset for businesses wanting to improve the sustainability of their code. The document, in a professional executive-style report, demonstrates the environmental impact and sustainability metrics with a KPI comparison of before and after the optimisation. Yash sums up the benefit of deploying AI for a greener future of coding: “instead of developers manually identifying the inefficiencies, AI assistants can provide real time optimization solutions like our EcoGenX and make green coding easier to adopt in everyday development workflows.”
