The challenge
Duferco Energia, a leading Italian full-service energy company, needed to modernize its B2B billing system to meet new regulatory requirements, including changes to the national unique energy price (PUN) calculation due to the reduction of the Market Time Unit from 60 minutes to 15.
The existing solution lacked the flexibility and modularity needed to manage billing calculation for complex B2B contracts and to adapt quickly to new regulations and business needs.
The solution
Building on their long-standing positive experience with AMPPER, Fincons’ incentive compensation product, Duferco Energia chose Youtiverse, the Group’s flexible and scalable meter-to-cash platform.
Designed to support metering, billing and credit management, Youtiverse has been effectively integrated within Duferco’s IT ecosystem, enabling the rapid, agile configuration of every calculation logic. Specifically, Duferco leverages Youtiverse for the billing of its top energy-intensive large clients, requiring tailored, customised supply conditions.
For the first phase of the project, Youtiverse calculates the base price to invoice, while in a later phase, it will be used also to generate invoices, allowing Durferco to adopt the platform as an end-to-end billing solution.
