Smart4CPPS

The project’s objective is the creation of a «Smart Factory» using Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), where ICT technologies are integrated into components, machines and environments.

The project was developed within Associazione Fabbrica Intelligente Lombardia’s Smart & Adaptive Manufacturing workgroup and is funded by the Lombardy Region as part of the Research and Innovation Agreements. The project started in March 2017 and will close in June 2020.

Cosberg is one of the leading proponents of the project which also involves: Balance System, Camozzi Automation, Cavagna Group, C.M.S., Fincons Group, Milano Polytechnic University (the Faculty of Electronics, IT and Bioengineering and the Faculty of Management Engineering), Porta Solutions, Quantra, Ratti, Scaglia Indeva, Ste Industries, STIIMA-CNR (Institute of Systems and Technologies for Advanced Manufacturing), TXT e-solutions, the University of Bergamo and the University of Brescia. Fondazione Politecnico and ABB also are part of the project.

Fincons Group is also involved in the “Digital and sustainable fashion” pilot with Ratti, Milan Polytechnic University and the University of Bergamo. Ratti, one of the world's leading manufacturers of printed, plain, yarn-dyed and jacquard fabrics for international luxury pret-à-porter brands, made itself available to digitalise and interconnect the machines in its production plant.

Milan Polytechnic University, the University of Bergamo and Fincons are the key technological partners that will support Ratti in this transition, analysing and mapping business processes, developing algorithms and ad hoc HMI systems for company applications..

THE OBJECTIVE IS TO EXTRACT ADDED VALUE FROM DATA COLLECTION AND AUTOMATION OF REPETITIVE PROCESSES
