TEMS

A trusted and resilient data space in the Media sector

TEMS - Trusted European Media Data Space, is the innovative project promoted and co-financed by the European Commission and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) aiming at redefining the way the Media sector will be able to share and extract value from data.

TEMS will set up and deploy a secure and trusted data space to enable Audiovisual and Media organizations to cooperate by sharing and accessing data in a mutually advantageous manner and in full compliance with the data protection legislation, creating next generation data value chains. By providing the means for enhanced data-based collaboration, TEMS aims at opening new data-driven business opportunities for the Media sector with a view to innovating, transforming and addressing existing and new challenges of the digital economy such as regaining competitiveness in the face of online platforms.

The data space will deploy trust mechanisms (such as security and privacy by design) and develop data services matching European values, in particular ethics, equality and diversity. This data space infrastructure will boost the re-use of data for innovative content (e.g. entertainment and news) production, curation and distribution across Europe and will be made available to both public service Media and commercial Media operators, whether large or small or start-ups.

Fincons Group is one of the 43 partners involved the project, that will last 3 years and will integrate many innovative competencies from different companies from all over Europe. In particular, Fincons will contribute as a technology partner to implement rights management functionalities and will take part in the development of the use cases foreseen in the project (among them, VRT, SWISST TXT, EITB, AGENCE FRANCE PRESSE coordinated by EBU – European Broadcasting Union).
