Fincons Group will contribute its AI and Industry 4.0 expertise to the first “UK-Italy AI Industry 4.0 Challenge” in the roles of jury member and technical partner.
The “UK-Italy AI Industry 4.0 Challenge: How can AI improve quality and performance in manufacturing of automotive components?” is an initiative promoted by the British Embassy in Rome, the UK Government Science and Innovation Network and the UK Department for International Trade to encourage bilateral exchanges between the UK and Italy in order to stimulate the development of cutting-edge AI solutions, investment and innovation.
The challenge was designed with the help of MADE Industry 4.0 Competence Centre coordinated by The Polytechnic University of Milan of which Fincons Group is partner and by Digital Catapult, the UK's leading advanced digital technology innovation center.
The objective is the design of software solutions that improve quality and performance in automotive component production processes. The challenge is open to start-ups, scaleups or research institutions with expertise in AI and digital technologies and more specifically in advanced manufacturing.
The jury panel, composed by Fincons Group, MADE, Digital Catapult and the Alan Turing Institute, will shortlist three finalists that will take part in a final pitch.
The winner will be awarded with a series of meetings with major players in the AI and technology ecosystem in manufacturing in Italy and the UK as well as the opportunity to discuss future professional cooperation with Fincons Group.
